I was afraid that it might take ages to get good enough to be really smooth. One thing I noticed in your video is that the glidecam seems well balanced but your drop time seemed way too slow. You may have already corrected this, but if you haven't then most of the tutorials I've seen say it should be around 2 to 2.5 seconds to drop fully from holding horizontal.
