May 12, 2012 - I've had this album for YEARS now and this is one of my favorite songs which i listen to daily to close my day. As someone else put it, very uplifting. I personally am always left filled with hope and inspiration and i think it's also very majestic. Great album, fantastic engineering and every time i listen, i hear something different. Despite how bad things my get, this song always leaves me feeling i can make it and tomorrow will be brighter for all of us. Also check out "Beside a brook".
Mar 9, 2012 - Got this on a Windham Hill sampler CD. Completely blew me away. It's great that people have similar feelings about it. Kinda reminds me of a lazy Sunday morning turning into a brisk walk out on the hills. Totally uplifting and rejuvinating.
Nov 15, 2010 - One of Paul's many masterpieces ... incredible and gorgeous.
@ spoildn8410 ... Steve Rodby does play bass with Pat Metheny, but not with Oregon; that's Glen Moore.
Also, Trilok Gurtu is very much still alive, and is not a member of Oregon ... you're thinking of the late Colin Walcott, one of the founding members of Oregon, played tabla and percussion.
All the best,
Fred Simon
Jun 25, 2010 - I have this too, Windham Hill. Paul McCandless(Oregon) plays seven different wind
instruments, including a wind controller, oboe, different saxes, clarinets and the
English Horn. Art Lande on piano. Steve Rodby(who plays with Pat Metheny and also Oregon) on acoustic bass. The late Trilok Gurtu on percussion and tabla, also an
Oregon member. Wally Kane accompanying wood winds. Keith Green on French
Gurtu on percussion and tabla. Wally Kane accompanying wood winds.
Oct 4, 2009 - I have this album (both the CD and LP). Its one of my all-time favorites. This song is really something else. This is music of the highest caliber. Something very different and special. So exuberant while being somewhat melancholy at the same time. Like the sun shining on a rainy day. I can put this album on and just feel like life is wonderful and everything is going to be alright.
