May 13, 2012 - I agree, I think some of his movies just dont have relatable characters while others (like Lord of the Rings, or Wizards) have a character you want to see succeed

GoblinGirl Says:

May 12, 2012 - Mr. Bakshi's advice is good not just for animators, but for any filmmaker or artist.

MaximusDowns Says:

Mar 20, 2012 - Glad he gave a shout out to Bill Plymton, Idiots and Angels changed the way I thought of animation!

MaximusDowns Says:

Mar 20, 2012 - a computer my friend, a computer

mittROMNEY666 Says:

Mar 16, 2012 - yeah, but the thing that talented people like mr bakshi tend to forget is that not everyone has their creativity. the reason people dont strike out like he did is not because theyre cowards - its because they honestly dont have any original ideas.

mittROMNEY666 Says:

Mar 16, 2012 - what is the box he keeps talking about?

trentigalaxy Says:

Mar 12, 2012 - a hero

Atheneastro Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - 'Mononoke' was an epic, rather than merely 'adult'.

Atheneastro Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - I agree with you. His movies aren't exactly the masterpieces everyone makes them out to be. But a couple of them look really cool. The Lord of the Rings one... the animation's good but a bit overdone. The characters can't keep still for a minute.

nonosh Says:

Feb 26, 2012 - Egoraptor is a great example of Bakshi's ideal young animator in the modern age.

kickodude Says:

Feb 18, 2012 - Good luck bro!

yelloweyeball Says:

Feb 7, 2012 - Everyone criticized the quality of bakshi's films, but he succeeded in doing what a lot of independent filmmakers starting out are bad at. FINISHING STUFF. Sure, he wasn't able to finish last days of coney island, but he was able to make a large number of independent animated films throughout his Carrier, regardless of quality. Dont spend thirty years making a high quality animated film with the risk of it being a failure as a finished product. A living dog is better than a dead lion.

MrRossT1 Says:

Feb 4, 2012 - LOVE THIS! LOVE THIS! :D

FAAANTAAASMa Says:

Feb 4, 2012 - all hail bakshi.

WallyWadeMovies Says:

Feb 3, 2012 - Everything he just said is common sense, but people that needed explained to them, have no business working in comics, animations or film making. Everybody can make a movie, short or long and put it here on youtube. If you're decent, then people will see it. Youtube is such a waste when it comes to Shane dawson and make up tutorials. Come on people, do something with this shit!!

toothlesshedgehog113 Says:

Jan 20, 2012 - No, not at the moment. I stopped the animated film idea after about a year of total work--six months for the screenplay and six attempting to animate it. I'm on to a better live-action project now, though, and I guess I might set up a website when that's finished.

holymcshizlet Says:

Jan 20, 2012 - do you have a site?

Ussmak Says:

Dec 19, 2011 - Are you a troll or just retarded? Japan is one of the most insular nations in the world when it comes to it's entertainment industry, especially in the 60's and 70's when they were STILL rebuilding their country after the war.
