Tonight, Wednesday, October 5th, 2011, Mike made his fifth visit to #OccupyWallStreet and delivered the following address from the steps on the east side of Liberty Plaza (Zuccotti Park) amplified by the 'human microphone': "This is a historic day. This movement has come together because the people wanted it to happen. Not because of a leader. Not because of a dues-paying organization, but because the people wanted it. I love the human microphone and I'll tell you why. Because this isn't just my voice or his voice or her voice. It's all of our voices. Let's keep the movement like this. Do not let politicians co-opt this movement. Each one of you here today represents another 100,000 Americans who couldn't be here today but are happy that you are here. And they will be there in their cities. The occupy movement is everywhere. Occupy! Everywhere! "The men on the top floors of these buildings -- especially you, Goldman Sachs -- they are responsibly for ruining the lives of millions of people -- hundreds of millions of people -- on this planet. Someone in the media just asked me, 'Who organized this?' I said [points up to buildings], 'They organized this!' "They took their boot and put it on the necks of the American people and now the American people want that boot removed. Now. Not next year. Now! We've had it. Enough is enough. The dirtiest word in corporate America is 'enough.' They can't get enough. They weren't satisfied with being just filthy rich. They wanted to be something better than filthy rich and this is what they got. They may have stolen trillions of dollars but we are here to say we want that money back. When do we want the money back? When do we want the money back? "They have overplayed their hand. It's too bad they weren't satisfied with all the billions they had accumulated. But like addicts, they had to have more. They're out of control. They have an addiction problem to greed and we are here to conduct an intervention." Dec 28, 2011 - You see, this is what Mr. Orwell warned us again. If Moore can quote Orwell then so can I. "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others." Here is Moore supporting this movement but while others camp in the cold he flies his first class and stays in fancy hotels and homes. He wants equality as long as he is more equal then others. Anyway, he looks like a fat big.
whyamimrpink78 Says:
Dec 28, 2011 - Well, the old saying is "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others"
PHYCOGAMER Says:
Dec 26, 2011 - he doesnt claim to be poor assholes he doesnt like seeing people suffer, he knows he isnt poor but he uses his films to tell us about whats really going on, just beacause your stupid kids and only pay attention to what you see on tv . he cant just pay for everything, he has millions but the problem is its expensive to pay for things, he cant feed all the people in america for a year, hed be broke in a week. then he couldnt make his documentarys ant more, by the way hes also a minamalist, dumbass

FitnessByMatt Says:
Nov 20, 2011 - Michael Moore and Keith Olbermann both attacked strawmen when discussing criticism of Moore. No one has a problem with rich people supporting the poor - what we have a problem with is hypocritical rich people bashing the rich!

Nov 20, 2011 - Great post!

Nov 20, 2011 - It's better to have leaders who actually understand economics. Actually wait, yeah, Michael Moore would probably do fine.
sellsjeeps Says:
Nov 19, 2011 - Michael Moore believes diligently in free market capitalism. He makes a product which is sold in the free market from which he draws a profit. Shut the fuck up you fat ass hypocrite.
usagirlfriend Says:
Nov 18, 2011 - It's no secret that Moore has made millions from his muckraking documentaries, and there's no reason he shouldn't have. Being a most successful documentary film-maker ever, he's successfully tapped a rich vein of anti-capitalist rhetoric that sells so well among U.S. liberals. Why doesn't Moore acknowledged his own wealth and lifestyle before he condemns others? Success is nothing to be ashamed of, nor to be publicly ridiculed. The real evil is greed, and corruption.
usagirlfriend Says:
Nov 18, 2011 - Moore tars everyone with the same brush, exempting only himself, because he doesn't "associate" himself with the 1%. So, if he makes millions of dollars and lives like a king, but sympathizes with the downtrodden and doesn't "associate" himself with his fellow millionaires, he's not really a rich white man with a big house? Yet he's free to lambaste other millionaires, many of whom may be far more GENEROUS than him. Why? Because they don't wear a baseball cap on TV?
TheDenknach Says:
Nov 16, 2011 - you seem to be a smart person! go on try to tell your good arguments in perfection.. you are so scientific im impressed.
Popfeenin Says:
Nov 13, 2011 - Epic fail for OWS. Michael Moore is part of the problem, not the solution. How has Wall St affected him from overeating? Earning his $50 million? He has something to promote...that's why he's there. Something for his 'followers' to buy. He is greed personified. What a charlatan.
incirlik1 Says:
Nov 13, 2011 - Hey Michael, how's the new book sales going? According to Celebertyworth, your wealth is listed at $50 million! Going to donate any of the profits to "Occupy Wall Street Protesters"? I bet not! Keep the crowd stirred up and the profits flowing in! "Michael Moore, Hypocrite and King of the Capitalist"!
