May 24, 2012 - Actually lions do purr, it's not the same as a domestic house cat, it only occurs when exhaling. Most people are unaware that it's not just cats that purr, many animals in the wild kingdom purr. The difference being physiology of each species. Lions are wonderful creatures with a great potential for affection and protection to their captive raised parent.

May 24, 2012 - They seem like such babies to their human. It's so cute. I bet since he's familiar with them that it isn't an issue of being around them. Probably as loyal as some dogs.

chizoioioi Says:

May 23, 2012 - A few lions are okay with visitors but sometimes the lion does attack or get very moody. From what Ive read and heard, most lions are super loving only with humans they have known for a long time its best to raise them from cubs. That is because lions are naturally sociable and view that person as something like part of their pride. They might rough you up a bit if you annoy them but not to kill you. Lions fight in prides but make up after wards and they know u are delicate.

May 23, 2012 - Aren't you afraid they will attack you? I wonder if lions raised around humans ever attack humans.
