Mar 31, 2012 - am a little saddened at some of the reactions to Chris McCandless' story. If it had not had such a tragic yet poignant ending we would none of us be privy to his life and thoughts. Not a martyr but personally for me an instigator, a poster boy for taking charge of your life, being proactive and not letting life live us. Thankyou Chris for shaking my soul out of complacency. Your death, whilst heartbreaking, was not a waste, not when it has had a positive effect on so many of us. Lynn

Oct 8, 2011 - dude i just saw the movie and if the way of his death is true the this sucks.... it's like surviving a war and then when there is peace and for example you trip and while you fall something sharp stabs you and kill you. I would have loved meeting the guy :'( Rip Chris
