Toyota has officially unveiled the 2012 Tacoma facelift. The updated model is distinguished by a redesigned front bumper, a new hood and a revised grille. There's also new headlights and restyled wheels which range in sizes from 15- to 18-inches. Inside, designers added a new steering wheel, a revised instrument cluster and an improved center stack. Other updates include new seat upholstery and an optional Entune infotainment system. Under the hood, two engines are available. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder produces 159 hp (119 kW / 161 PS) and 180 lb-ft (244 Nm) of torque, while the 4.0-liter V6 develops 236 hp (176 kW / 239 PS) and 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque. The latter engine can also be outfitted an optional TRD supercharger kit which enables it to churn out 304 hp (227 kW / 308 PS) and 334 lb-ft (452 Nm) of torque. Less

Apr 16, 2012 - Heated and electronic adjustable leather seats? Are you freaking kidding? It's a truck (for hauling, towing, etc), not a luxury car. Gee, do you chauffeur as well?
Fuel4Torque Says:
Apr 10, 2012 - Why doesn't Toyota worry less about giving the truck a facelift and worry about trying to get more power and better fuel economy?
Lynviking Says:
Apr 8, 2012 - It'll also drop your mileage from 22 MPG to about 18.
Lynviking Says:
Apr 8, 2012 - Why should it have, "heated leather seats, 8 way electrical adjusted seats and a sunroof?" It's a fuckin pickup truck, not a cadillac! FRom the sound of your post, I doubt you would wheel it even if it did have "off road extra options," whatever the hell those are!

Apr 6, 2012 - Very disappointed how do you sell a truck that does not offer all of the options that it should have, Such as heated leather sets, 8 way electrical adjusted seats. Sun roofs and an off road extra options package??? I am very disappointed.. I was told you can get theses options in Canada is that true??

Mar 6, 2012 - I like the looks of these trucks but from what I've read the mpg leaves a lot to be desired. I currently have a 97 S-10 which I purchased new and it gets 25.5 mpg around town in the 2.2 liter 5 speed config. So I'm wondering what 4x4 regular cab tacoma would get with the 4 banger 5 speed manual. I really don't want or need the 4x4 part around here but prerunner not available in my zip code without getting extended cab V6 and I know a full size chevy V8 beats the tacoma V6 on fuel mileage.

Mar 2, 2012 - Just ordered my 2012 Tacoma Double Cab in 4X4, with the TRD Off Road Package, 2 weeks ago, in Silver Streak Mica. First thing it gets when I get it home is Westin step bars, tinted windows and an A.R.E. tonneau cover (also on order). I've been driving Toyota trucks since 1986 and wouldn't drive anything else.

Feb 10, 2012 - I think the front end of the 2012 tacoma looks pretty sweet! It looks sort of like an insect though, LOL! I'm getting one sometimes next month. So, I can't wait! :)

Jan 27, 2012 - I just turned in my 2010 siverado for a 2012 Tacoma. That chevy gave me too many problems so i went with Toyota. I hope it comes out good

Dec 29, 2011 - They should've at least shown a nice one like the SR5 or TRD.

Dec 22, 2011 - I'm very disappointed with the people who think the new 2012 tacomas don't look as good here :(Come on now, it's a 2012 tacoma, the newest tacoma out there. It's suppose to look bad ass. Oh well, haters WILL be haters. This color doesn't look bad ass though. I'll go with the silver if I were to buy one of these. :) and install a bull bar and hoodscoop.
dms5805 Says:
Dec 22, 2011 - I think that the facelift of the 2012 looks better than the 2011 tacoma. Tell ya what, put a bull bar on the bumper and it will look bad ass...
LITEMPO2 Says:
Dec 21, 2011 - Ugly facelift. Tacoma 2012 = R.I.P. Tacoma
Furious321 Says:
Dec 18, 2011 - A 5.7 liter in a truck as light as a Taco? I don't think you're aware of how the 4.0 V6 is more than adequate for the Double Cab (which I drive). More power is great until it only becomes less efficient and doesn't provide any greater capability.
Furious321 Says:
Dec 18, 2011 - I'd rather it maintain its status as the best mid-sized truck on the road than become something worse after a redesign.
BACKTOYOU68 Says:

Dec 12, 2011 - i got thIs but stock everything! :(
Turtlebomb11 Says:
Dec 9, 2011 - Ford, Chevy and Dodge should be the only makers of trucks. The Japs just don't get it......
CurlThe64 Says:
Dec 5, 2011 - I agree with you.. this is the model I'm getting, a 2012. By Christmas I am having it.. the interior and the steering wheel look so much better than last years model and so does the exterior... did you see the fog lights on the 2012 ones? i like the black color that goes around the fog lights..
PatriotsMascotFan Says:
Dec 5, 2011 - Aww.. what is wrong with the new 2012 toyota tacoma... i like it.. i think it's better than last years model, 2011 toyota... I bet if it was a better color like silver with a bull bar and side steps at least, it would of looked great actually. I disagree with some of the comment users down below... boo!
