Apr 14, 2012 - Yeah, he was almost certainly bi-polar BUT that doesn't mean his beliefs were disillusions. A lot of people bi-polar is that they are more sensitive.

jvalver Says:

Apr 5, 2012 - Well note: he sponged off of others and "survived" by spending his father's money made from capitalism. he - by his own writing, poached a moose. he took shelter squatting in someone else's camp. All he proved is that if you give a fool money, he will blow it and end up dead. I admire people that choose to live , work and raise a family- those things are hard. Living off someone else's money takes no responsibility and no thought - much like a 5 or 6 year old.

Grovemeister Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - Why make a hero of someone who cut off all ties to his family, didn't have sense to have a adequate map, didn't know about how to prepare meat or distinguish between the poisonous parts of plants? McCandless was a spoiled selfish brat who shouldn't have wandered anywhere near Alaska. He was ill prepared for his adventure and paid the price. Unfortunately his selfishness affected others as well.

Mar 7, 2012 - Chris Mccandless was a great guy shame he had to die because lack of knowledge and bushcraft skills. when i first watched this film it changed me the way i look at life and society especially western countries with their capitalism way of life. chris didnt wanted to be poisoned by western society with materials and false security and stress the modern way of life brings!! R.I.P Chris Mccandless an Inspiration to those who understand what he did and why he did!!

KatWarhound Says:

Mar 6, 2012 - He was a selfish looney. What more is there to say? Ditched the people who cared about him to die in the wild.

spaceghost30082 Says:

Dec 26, 2011 - CHRIS MCCANDLESS IS NO ONE TO LOOK UP TO. OR TO ADMIRE. THATS MOVIE BULLSHIT. CHRIS WAS A CONFUSED AND FUCKED UP PERSON. HE WANTED TO BE ALONE AND DIE ALONE. ITS THAT SIMPLE.

Hedgehogpaw Says:

Dec 21, 2011 - I'm glad that you did understand the message of his life and journey. :-)

Oct 26, 2011 - He did what he did. Regardless of whether he was stupid, or selfish.. he is an inspiration to us all. I commend him for his bravery and am one who is inspired by his journey. " I have had a happy life and thank the lord, goodbye and may god bless us all!"

NinaAnny Says:

Oct 22, 2011 - well, according to the novel by jon krakuer, he ditched his map, and if he really did have a map, he could have navigated his way and be alive today.. thats what i think

randomusername987 Says:

Oct 12, 2011 - I think this song isnt that good as a song.

OMGWTFBBQTAKEASHIT Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - and for YOUR information, in the real story of Chris McCandless, he DID have a map... this movie is just biased, there goes you're whole belief system down the drain.

6284968128numbers Says:

Oct 1, 2011 - FYI, Chris could've escaped the area, IF he had a map, which went against the idea of the trip. Also, why expend the extra energy looking for an escape? he had been surviving just fine for months. When he did need to escape he was to weak to hike the miles back to the highway through the marsh land. And if you'd read Krakauer's second edition of Into the Wild you would see that he now thinks that he ate potato seeds that had poisonous fungus on them that blocked digestion

toutpardonner Says:

Sep 30, 2011 - Read something written by Grey Owl.
