Sep 20, 2011 - @HuLiXD The 1st version I heard was the Towner piano-guitar duet from "Diary." I saw Towner do this on solo piano & it STILL sounded like several instruments.

Oct 29, 2010 - I remember this from the Ralph Towner record "Diary" (ECM), released around '74, in which the main theme is played on piano, which gives it a wonderful chunky energy (excuse my lack of technical terminology), Anyway thanks for that - a beautiful piece which evokes fond memories.

Sep 22, 2010 - This song from the Paul winter Consort days on the album Icarus was my coming of age song. If I was sad over my first love or in the throws of happy elation with my first love, It accompanied me there like a wise uncle {:> The tearful release was allways so healing .... Respect and Thanks!

Aug 6, 2010 - I had a chance to interview Ralph when he appeared on an interesting channel called "Fine Tuning". He is witty, intelligent, funny, inventive and a master guitarist and composer. He could not believe the convergence of sounds and rhythms and music from all genres on Fine Tuning. The channel was dropped from the lineup but was much loved as it merged classical, rock, world, jazz to create a sound all its own. Perhaps we can all converge and get it back on air.
