]]> Wyoming Principal Gets Pranked READ DESCRIPTION!! - - This was a senior prank that took a lot of time and effort. Some kids at the school found a car identical to the principals and decided to bash it up and wrap it around a pole in front of the school, they even got his license plates. As they were unloading the car, the resource officer was talking to the principal about some kid getting in a fight. The kid who got in trouble was in on the whole thing and wasn't cooperating so the principal ended giving the kid 3 days out of school suspension. By the time that was over, the car was unloaded and placed, while 2 other cops were also present at the scene and radioed the resource officer saying there was a car with plates that matched the principal's. One drove down to the lower lot, sayin he was chasing the kids who were in the car, while the other was inspecting the car. When the bell rung, all the students were headed to the auditorium, where the principal was gonna be in charge of the talent show. Listen carefully and to make the whole prank better, it was played at the assembly 10 minutes later where the principal finally realized he'd been pranked. HAHA, Right on Class of 08'!!

]]> Wyoming Coal Trains The amount of coal transported by rail each year continues to grow. The Burlington Northern and the Chicago & North Western benefit greatly by hauling this coal out of the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. Watch as each railroad uses its own main line, and then work together on the joint line moving the coal out of the state. The Burlington Northern's 5th Sub from east of Gillette, southeast through Newcastle is the easternmost line. This section of railroad hosts much of the BN's coal traffic and also has plenty of general freight and priority trains as well. The Chicago and North Western operates over a section of its old "Cowboy Line" from Crandall to Shawnee toward the mines. On the Powder River Sub, the C&NW's Dash 9-44 and AC4400CW locomotives lead trains along with a sampling of Union Pacific power. Then the two railroads join together on the BN's 10th Sub, which is also the BN/CNW joint line. This corridor is the direct link to a majority of the Powder River Basin coal mines. Copyright 1995, C. Inside his home, Eric's pictures cover every corner along with military plaques and the flag that covered his casket. The 20-year-old Army Specialist died in Iraq in 2005 when his Humvee hit an IED. Shrapnel from the explosive device pierced the back of Eric's head. Doctors said he died instantly. "Our grandson now will never know his uncle, but he carries his name because his name is Lucas Eric and his daddy told him 'I'm going to be telling you a lot of stories about your Uncle Eric,'" said Burri, fighting back tears. Michigan lowered its flags for Specialist Burri, but when John heard New Jersey is lowering its flags for singer-actress Whitney Houston, he and his wife grew irate.

He is buried in the town cemetery ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Something I was told after I made this video, is that if you a planning to visit Douglas WY during the State Fair, you will have a hard time finding a place to camp in the City Park. The KOA campground might be tough too. A touring bicyclist may be able to slip into the campground around the edges, but there is no guarantee. The hotels in town are usually booked as well, so you might have to ride a couple miles out of town and find a place to camp on the open range. It was late one evening during the Cheyenne Frontiers Day Rodeo. Chris was talking live on air with a radio DJ. I was rolling along on hwy18/20 between I-25 & Lusk WY. Chris was telling us about his 1st time that he heard his name on Garth Brooks "Much too young" song. If I recall correctly, Chris mentioned that he was on I-25 real late one evening heading towards home near Kaycee. I believe that he was between Douglas & Casper WY. He said that he perked right up when he heard his name in the song on the radio! I sure hope & or wish that someday we may be able to find that audio clip if it was archived! Listening to Chris & the DJ live at the rodeo was realy nice to hear! It sure made my evening go by much nicer as they chatted for quite a while! From what I understand, That gave Chris a much needed boost to gain much well deserved recognition for his love of music making! ,.......PS: If I ever cross paths with Garth,....Dinner's on me! *wink*

The Albany Bar - SouthWest of the Depot - The building dates back to around 1900 and was formerly a hotel and bar. It is now a restaurant/bar/liquor store. The Wrangler (Corral West Ranchwear) - Building lies SouthWest of the Depot. Not very much information is readily, publicly available. The Plains Hotel - South of the Depot. This elegant hotel opened in 1911 and is 5 stories plus a basement. Senator Francis E. Warren, TA Cosgriff, Dr. HN Bennett, Fred Warren and William Duboise, the architect, formed a committee and designed plans for the ~$250000 hotel in 1910. Grier Furniture - SouthEast of the Depot. The Warren family built the building back in 1910. Francis E. Warren was one of Wyoming's first Senators, and FE Warren Air Force Base is named after him. Grier has had a going-out-of-business sale for about a month now and may close sometime in the future. Lincoln Thatre - SouthEast of the Depot. Buford, Wyoming — population 1 — is on the auction block. NBC's Kristen Dahlgren explains why the town's one resident — Don Sammons — is calling it quits. "Don was on the Today Show last summer, and things have changed since then. He has a new look, and he's ready to hang up his hats of mayor, store clerk, mechanic." According to the investment publication The Street, the big winner walks away with several amenities including ... ...a convenience store and fuel station known as the Buford Trading Post, a cell tower, a three-bedroom home, a turn-of-the-century schoolhouse, and a garage and cabin among other things— all on a ten-acre spread. The Wyoming Times reports bidding will begin at $100000, and a writer for the Huffington Post points out ... "A prospective buyer could potentially purchase the entire 10 plus acre town for a little more than the average price of a new home in 2010 at $272900." And while Sammons may be the only resident, a writer for Wyoming's Star-Tribune reports — he has plenty of company. "On a busy summer day, Sammons said he would see up to 1000 visitors. An Associated Press reporter interviewed him in the early 2000s, and since then CNN, MSNBC, Time magazine and the Today show have done stories on Buford." The auction is set to take place Thursday, April 5th.
