Alvord Desert '06 Our Pool!
We launch sailplanes from the Alvord Desert in the SE corner of Oregon, USA. The Lakebed is 4000ft. above sea level and Steens Mountain goes streight up to 10000ft. on the western side of the lake. The soaring is magnificent! We climb in thermals and wave to over 20000ft!

sept 2000,I showed a group from "Fuel-Safe" in Bend,the magic of Alvord Desert(SE Oregon),it was a short but intense weekend,resulting in broken bones,punctured flesh,broken dirt-bikes,burnt bras,and a lot of alcohol consumption,enjoy!
Just Arrived at the Alvord Desert
On our 1100 mile dirt bike trip. Here we just left Fields and arrived at the Alvord Desert. The Playa is such a cool place to play! You can also see us looking for a place to base camp from, we found a great place with a stream and some trees.
